What is Microcurrent?
Microcurrent is a non surgical anti-aging treatment that involves using a low grade electrical current "to train" your facial muscles to appear more lifted, tightened, and firm. In fact, it's nickname is the "non-invasive facelift." It has been used medically since the 1980's as a muscle stimulator to treat Bell's Palsy and muscle paralysis. Medical professionals noticed improved results in patients with atrophied, sagging facial muscles, microcurrent was then adapted as an anti-aging tool. Microcurrent facials are like a gym workout for your face, as the muscles on the face start going south, just like everything else we have to keep them fit. So therefore, we use currents to stimulate the muscles, starting low then increasing gradually until you have the firmness you would like. Lastly, with microcurrent there is no downtime, chemicals or harmful side effects.
Treatment Process
During your initial consultation we will perform an abbreviated treatment to determine how the skin and muscles will respond. We then will discuss your areas of concern and formulate a customized treatment plan that will maximize your results. A series of weekly treatments will be required in the beginning to achieve optimal results and maintenance to follow. We also offer additional add on services to help you achieve faster results with added benefits. Your Esthetician will discuss these additional options with you when you come in for your consultation.
